Child Safety and Confidentiality
At Marinelys Babysitting Center & Home Care Services, protecting the safety, privacy, dignity, and well-being of every child and family is fundamental to everything we do. We understand that parents and guardians place significant trust in us by sharing personal and sensitive information, and we are committed to protecting that trust through responsible information management and strict confidentiality practices.
We collect and process personal information only to the extent necessary to provide safe, professional, and personalised childcare services. This may include information relating to parents, guardians, authorised contacts, and children, such as names, contact details, medical information, allergies, dietary requirements, medications, developmental needs, behavioural information, daily routines, emergency contacts, authorised pick-up persons, and any additional care instructions required to support the child's health, safety, and well-being.
All personal and child-related information is handled as strictly confidential. Access is restricted exclusively to authorised Marinelys employees, babysitters, supervisors, management personnel, or carefully selected service providers who require the information to perform their professional responsibilities. Every member of our team is expected to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and to use personal information solely for legitimate operational purposes associated with delivering our childcare services.
Marinelys has implemented appropriate administrative, organisational, and technical safeguards to help protect personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse, alteration, loss, theft, or destruction. Our privacy and security procedures are reviewed regularly to ensure that confidential information continues to be managed in accordance with recognised industry practices and applicable legal requirements.
We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or otherwise commercially disclose personal information relating to our clients or the children in our care. Information will only be shared when it is reasonably necessary to deliver our services, with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where appropriate, to protect the health or safety of a child or another individual, or where disclosure is required by applicable laws, court orders, regulatory authorities, or other lawful governmental requests.
Photographs, videos, or other visual recordings of children will only be captured, used, or shared in accordance with our internal policies and any applicable consent requirements. Where parental or guardian consent is required, families will have the opportunity to approve or decline the use of such materials. Any approved photographs or recordings will always be handled responsibly and respectfully.
Where CCTV systems operate within our childcare facilities, they are used solely to support the safety, security, and protection of children, parents, visitors, employees, and company property. CCTV recordings are treated as confidential records and may only be accessed by authorised personnel. Footage may be reviewed for safety monitoring, incident investigations, security purposes, or where disclosure is required under applicable laws or by competent authorities.
Parents and legal guardians play an important role in maintaining the accuracy of their child's records. We encourage families to promptly notify us of any changes to medical conditions, allergies, medications, emergency contacts, authorised collection arrangements, or other information that may affect the safe delivery of our childcare services.
Although Marinelys applies comprehensive security measures to protect personal information, no method of electronic transmission, cloud storage, or digital communication can guarantee absolute security. Nevertheless, we are committed to taking all reasonable and appropriate precautions to minimise risks and to continuously improve our information security practices.
Our duty of confidentiality continues beyond the completion of our services. Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve legitimate disputes, maintain appropriate business records, and protect the legal rights and interests of our clients, employees, and organisation. Once information is no longer required, it is securely deleted, destroyed, or anonymised in accordance with our data retention procedures.
Through our commitment to confidentiality, privacy, and responsible information management, Marinelys strives to provide a safe, secure, respectful, and trustworthy childcare environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence, while giving parents complete peace of mind that their family's personal information is protected with the highest standards of care, integrity, and professionalism.
